Vicki Adams Honoured

The folks of Stranraer have always been very proud of the curlers from the North West Castle rink who have gone on to success in the world arena. The latest to be honoured is Vicki Adams. The Stranraer Ice Rink Curling Club hosted a party on Friday for the twenty-one year old, and presented her with a beautiful memento, above.

Last season, Vicki played second in Anna Sloan's Scottish Championship winning team, second in Eve Muirhead's Scottish Junior and World Junior Champions, and second in Anna's GB team which won the World University Games curling golds in Erzurum. What a season! What an achievement!

Vicki had previously won two World Junior golds with Eve.

Congratulations Vicki from all of us. And the 'Front End Union' is especially proud of you!

That's Vicki on the right, with two of her teammates Eve Muirhead and Anna Sloan, and Stranraer's Hew Chalmers, representing Stranraer Ice Rink Curling Club. He's President this year. Hew is of course also a British Curling Director and British Olympic Association Board Member, as well as Royal Club's representative on the WCF and ECF.
