Busy Ice

There's a lot happening at this time of the season! The second set of qualifying playdowns for the National Masters Championship is underway at Greenacres. The results are here.

The Edinburgh International Seniors Championship gets going today with sixteen teams on the ice at the Murrayfield rink. The draw is here. As in previous years the semifinal and final of the seniors event will be held alongside the main Edinburgh International deciders on Sunday. Robin Copland has previewed the Edinburgh International already, see here. Play begins on Friday ... and don't forget to sign up for the webcasts (see here).

Elsewhere this weekend, the Baljaffray Under-17 Competition runs at Greenacres this Saturday and Sunday. This is the third of the five events in the Under-17 slam. Twenty-four teams. Results will be here.

Four of our top junior teams, skipped by Jennifer Dodds, Jennifer Martin, Kyle Smith and Duncan Menzies are involved in the European Junior Curling Tour competitions in Thun, Switzerland. This event begins tomorrow, Thursday. I rather liked the advertising, above! This is the page to find more details, and from where the draw can be downloaded.

Wheelchair curlers will be on the ice at the Galleon Centre for the British Open. Ten teams play in two sections beginning on Friday morning. The results can be found here.

The International ZO Tournament in Wetzikon has twenty-two teams in this Curling Champions Tour event, although there are no Scottish representatives on this occasion.

And of course, I'm still following progress in the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in Nanjing, see here.

Now, what have I forgotten?
