Sayaka Yoshimura's Japanese junior women's team has qualified for the World Junior Championships in Oestersund. The girls won gold at the 2012 Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships at the Hwasan Ice Rink in Jeonju, South Korea, today beating Korea in the final 3-2. This team competed at the 2011 World Juniors in Perth (remind yourself here).
A Chinese junior men’s team, skipped by Xiuyue Ma, won the gold medal in the junior men’s event with a win over Korea in the final, and will also now play in Sweden.
