8-Ender at the Yara

Congratulations to Robin Niven and his Kinross rink who scored an 8-Ender in the Yara Farmers' Curling Championship at Perth today. It's thought to be only the third time this has occurred in the tournament's twenty-nine year history. I believe the last time was in 2007, see here.

As is customary, the team which lost the eight is not named, and as such the 'Rhona Martin Try Harder Award' is awarded anonymously.

You can find all the results from the 'Yara' here.

YARA Farmers Championship

The YARA Farmers Championship, one of the largest events in Europe in terms of the numbers participating (80 teams), is on this week at the Dewar's Rinks in Perth. Five days of competition on the ice, and a lot of fun off it, if past events are anything to go by!

The first games were yesterday. The results are online here.
