Columba Cream Semifinal

It was Sarah Reid, Kerry Barr, Laura Kirkpatrick and Barbara McFarlane against Gail Munro, Lyndsay Wilson, Kerry Adams and Alison Mather in the 'semifinal' of the Columba Cream Scottish Ladies Curling Championship this afternoon. The winner would go forward to play Eve Muirhead in tomorrow's final.

How did it go?

The quick 'quack' of the game: "Team Munro came out of the first end on fire and picked up three. They survived a spirited fightback by Sarah's team - to 6-5 - after eight. Two up without in the tenth, Munro's side kept things clear for their win."

Linescore is here.

Here's how they matched up against each other!

This was a key moment in the game. Keith MacLennan, the coach to the Sarah Reid team, is in a timeout in the fifth end, with two stones remaining to play. Reid already lies three, and the question is where to put the fourth. She elected to put it top of the four foot, hoping to be at least partly hidden. Gail played a pressure hit, against four, to count a single, and stay 6-2 ahead at halftime.
