World Curling Federation News

The World Curling Federation has appointed Joanna Kelly as its Media Relations Officer.

Joanna began her career as a freelancer for BBC Radio Scotland. She's currently a journalist and TV producer. You can read more about her career here.

Announcing the new appointment, WCF President Les Harrison said, “Joanna has shown great commitment to developing curling and increasing broadcast media coverage of the sport through the work she has done with the Federation’s own television productions. Drawing on her experience with other sports, we feel that she has a lot to offer and we are delighted that she has accepted to take up the Media Relations Officer role.”

Joanna herself says, “Curling is going global as we have seen from recent world championships organized in Asia and the performance of Asian teams. With the Winter Olympics just around the corner, there is a tremendous opportunity lying ahead to spread the word further about the sport and the work of the World Curling Federation.”

I wish Joanna best wishes and every success in her new role.
