The first junior competition of the season begins at the Greenacres Curling Rink in Renfrewshire tomorrow, Friday. There are ten girls' teams in the draw each playing four games in two sections, leading to Sunday's semifinals. The National Academy sides skipped by Lauren Gray and Hannah Fleming are the teams that the others will want to beat!Twelve junior men's teams compete in two sections, each playing five round robin games. The draw includes an Italian team skipped by Andrea Pilzer. Jay McWilliam's National Academy team of Grant Hardie, Struan Wood and Ian Copland will be expected to perform well.
First games for the men are at 16.00, and for the girls at 18.00.
