Gary Macfarlane, the organiser of the Braehead Open, has been in touch to say that, due to a cancellation, there is a space for one team in the draw for the event this coming weekend, October 1-3.He says, "The competition has attracted a very high standard of team and we presently have 31 out of a maximum of 32 teams."

The times of play for the first two games are 8.30pm Friday and 10.30am Saturday. It is an open competition with special prizes in the following categories: under 25s, best overseas, seniors, ladies, and Braehead members!
