I've been saying for a while that our wheelchair curlers are missing a trick with the generally rather drab gear they wear on the ice. So it gladdened my heart to receive this pic of Neil Hogg and Angie Malone bucking the trend while competing in the Star Refrigeration National Pairs last weekend. Brilliant! Well done to you both. I see now why they were called the 'Raspberry Ripples' by the other competitors.
And here is something for those who enjoy the variety of strange curling clips that appear on YouTube and other sites. I think this video is promotion for learn to curl sessions at the Jeti Ice Arena in Tallinn, Estonia. The rink, one of two in the Estonian capital, appears to have two dedicated curling sheets. Isn't it wonderful how the sport continues to spread through the world.
Happy Wednesday!
