"With the score at 1-1 after three ends Sweden's Niklas Edin drew for two in the fourth but Tom replied quickly with a pair, drawing to an opening house for a score at the break of 3-3.

In the sixth, Sweden looked to be in trouble but Edin played a double with his last stone for a two. At the next end, Edin clipped a guard with his second stone and Tom drew for three shots and a lead 6-5.

The eighth was blanked. In the ninth, with Sweden lying shot, Tom was forced to draw the opposite side of the house but failed. But Edin failed to make his two, drawing up short.

Tied 6-6 into the last end
it all came down to the last two stones of the game. Scotland lay shot and Swedish skip Niklas Edin had to draw the four foot. The previous stone Tom had tried to guard and finished short. Edin was determined not to do the same and overthrew his draw which finished at the hack. Game to Scotland.
