Socially inclusive curling

Wimbledon, in South West London, is linked in most of our minds with the sport of tennis, or perhaps even the Wombles, on Wimbledon Common. I certainly didn't know that at the close of the nineteenth century Wimbledon had, because of the sport of curling, 'become a sort of Scottish colony'.
