The situation at the Forfar rink, going into the last section game of the Women's Tour event, saw Gail Munro's team without loss in four games.
Another win, against the Mary Barr team, meant that Gail, Lyndsay Wilson, Kerry Adams-Taylor and Alison Mather were into the final. But who would they meet?
Jackie Lockhart and her team of Karen Kennedy, Kim Brewster and Sarah Macintyre were top of their section, on four wins.
Here Sarah and Kim work on their skip's stone.
Just one point behind, having drawn a game, were Helen King (above) and her team of Hazel Smith, Eilidh Templeton and Lesley Young. It would be the winner of this fifth round game between Lockhart and King which would progress to the final against Team Munro.
The King team pulled out a good lead, 5-1 after four.
(Yes, this is a caption competition! Helen is saying, "Is this a final place I see before me?" "I'm seeing a Magnum Temptation." "If you play tight again, this is what I'll do to your neck."
They were lying four at the fifth end. Here's Jackie drawing the shot for a single!
....watched by Helen, Lesley and Eilidh. The score was 5-2.
So what happened? Did the King team hang on? Indeed they did. There were three up playing the last end, and Helen clipped away a Lockhart stone with her last to make sure they were in the final!
