It was fun trying to pick out the curlers as they paraded in their teams at the opening ceremony at the Vancouver Olympics! I'm sure those at 5 Live are well meaning, and it is good to see people having fun on the ice. But I really wonder if showing this sort of beginners' nonsense really helps promote the sport, or whether it is counter productive. One thing is for sure, that if the ice conditions are good at the Vancouver Olympic/Paralympic Centre, we are in for a treat in the days ahead! Real curling.
