This was Piperdam in Angus yesterday. The loch, west of Dundee, is one of the two venues available to the Royal Caledonian Curling Club for the Grand Match. It is in a golf and leisure resort some seven miles west of Dundee, see here.
To clear the snow, some mechanised help has been brought in.Sadly, the weather forecast for the next few days is not promising, but who knows what lies in store thereafter. One thing is clear, the Royal Club is taking the possibility of the Grand Match very seriously this winter. Check out the website (here, bottom right) for news.
