There were five great games in the third round of the Bruadar Scottish Men's Curling Championship this evening. For me, the one to watch was that between David Murdoch (with Warwick Smith, Glen Muirhead and Ross Hepburn) and Tom Brewster (with Greg Drummond, Scott Andrews and Michael Goodfellow). Murdoch had won two from two. Brewster had one win and one loss.
That's the two skips in the photo above. Tom is in front. The teams were tied at 2-2 after five, and 5-5 after nine. Brewster had the hammer in the tenth. He needed it and faced two when he went to play. Draw the button for the win, and he did.
Duncan Fernie's team kept their unbeaten record, their skip making a last stone hit on the nose for the point.
"You just go and sit in the corner until I tell you to come out!"
