Big game in Section D this morning. Having dropped a game last night, the Americans had to beat Tirinzoni's Swiss to keep up there in contention... and they did. So it's played four and won three for the McCormick rink. (In the pic above, that's Debbie McCormick delivering, with Nicole Joraanstad and Natalie Nicholson ready to sweep.)
And it's played four, won three for Silvana Tirinzoni too. The linescores for Section D are here. Sloan beat Jensen and Munro beat Kozlova in the other games. The standings are here.
In Section C, the world champions were on three wins going into this morning's game. That's Susan shouting, and Jenny and Lu sweeping.
It was a great opportunity for Hannah Fleming and her young team to play against the Chinese, but it was no surprise perhaps that the world champs kept their undefeated record. And yes, it is the same photo, I've just swapped the heads. Abi Brown and Alice Spence are sweeping Hannah's stone.
Find the linescores for section C here. Toth beat Milne, and Ostlund beat Privivkova (who played third this morning) in the other games. The standings are here.
